Slosburg Company is an
Omaha
based real estate development and management firm that was founded in 1918 by
Jacob Slosburg, Jr. From its inception, the Company has been involved in the
buying, selling and developing of substantial properties for its own account.
After World War II, the Company expanded into the development and brokerage of
single family homes. From 1953 to present, the Company has been involved in the
development and management of office buildings, shopping centers and apartment
communities and the acquisition of major income properties.
Principals of the Slosburg Company are Richard H.
Slosburg and D. David Slosburg. Richard graduated from the
University of
Oklahoma
with a B.B.A. in 1972. David graduated from the Wharton School of Finance,
University of
Pennsylvania
with a B.S. in Economics in 1974. Jacob D. Slosburg recently joined the
business, he holds both a B.S. in Economics and an M.B.A. from the Wharton
School of Finance,
University of
Pennsylvania
. Since 1972, Richard and David have continued to develop, acquire and manage
all types of real properties.
Slosburg Company and The Richdale Group are the
management arms that handle the leasing and day to day operations for the
company's apartments, office buildings, shopping centers and industrial
buildings. Gibraltar Construction Company is a wholly owned general contractor
employing estimators, project managers and superintendents for the construction
of Slosburg owned properties. The Company currently operates in 10 different
states.
Some national tenants in Slosburg developed
buildings include IBM, Kodak,
Prudential ,
U.S.
Government, Mutual of Omaha, Enron, Aetna Life and Casualty, Equitable Life
Insurance, Goodyear, Honeywell, Eli Lilly and Salomon Smith Barney.
The Company builds, buys, owns and manages for its
own account, high-end apartment communities. The communities feature upscale
clubhouses, recreational facilities and cater to upper income groups seeking
rental housing. These residential communities, comprising 8000 units, are
located in the best areas of their respective cities.
